Heritage will hold its annual meeting at the Haas-Lilienthal House this Saturday, June 7, 2008, beginning with a coffee reception at 9:30 and concluding at 12 noon. In addition to the business portion of the meeting, including election of board members, the program will feature a special presentation entitled

Exposing the Past: Reroofing the Haas-Lilienthal House.

Members of the project team will describe the design of the historic roof and the original 1886 materials and conditions that were revealed, as well as the improvements, including seismic strengthening. Completed just last month, this was the largest conservation project at the House since the installation of the fire detection and suppression system in 1992.
