Reminder that this Thursday, July 17 marks the first lecture of the 2008 Heritage Ballroom Lecture series:
July 17 William Templeton -Califia Lives Here: Investigating San Francisco's African-American Heritage Sites
Historian John William Templeton, author of Our Roots Run Deep: the Black Experience in California, volumes I through 4, illustrates dozens of locations having potential architectural and historical significance currently undergoing research as part of a context statement on African-American heritage in San Francisco.

Price for the entire series of five lectures is $30 for Heritage members and students with valid ID, $45 for non-members. Tickets for single lectures are $7 for members/students, $10 for non-members. All lectures begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Haas-Lilienthal House, 2007 Franklin Street, San Francisco. Enter by the side door tour entrance, which opens at 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments provided.
