City boards and commissions often hold hearings on issues that affect preservation. These include the Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board, Planning Commission, Redevelopment Agency Commission, Board of Appeals, Port Commission and the Board of Supervisors. We encourage our members to participate by attending and speaking at hearings, or just to be there to show support, write letters and e-mails or make phone calls to decision-makers. Our advisories explain what the issues are and what positions Heritage is taking.
